Beaumont Select Corporations Inc. and XBRL
Beaumont Select Corporations Inc. has published its financial statements in XBRL format. It was the first company in Canada to use the IFRS 2012 taxonomy, as well as the first with the IFRS 2013 and IFRS 2014 taxonomies. However, now that we are a private corporation, our financial statements will no longer be published.
Please read a copy of Four things I learned filing IFRS XBRL statements.
As part of its commitment to moving XBRL forward, we have developed additional taxonomies to assist in the display and calculation of financial information. They are:
XBRL Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) Taxonomy - The intention of this taxonomy is to supply the names of equities traded on the Toronto Stock exchange. Beaumont Select traded on the TSX Venture exchange, and invests in a number of equities. By using this taxonomy, a user can build a report listing the individual holdings.

- An example of the TSX taxonomy and its use can be viewed with Google Chrome or Firefox browsers using iXBRL. Beaumont TSX Equities
XBRL Oil and Gas Taxonomy - There is additional information presented by oil and gas corporations that is not available in the IFRS taxonomy. The intent of this taxonomy is to make this information available within XBRL

- An example of the Oil and Gas Taxonomy in use can be found by importing the file www.bsci.ca/xbrl/ARX-20140630.xml into your XBRL reader.
Canadian Banking Taxonomy - The Canadian Banks show their financial reports with different categorization than the IFRS taxonomy. Since the top five Canadian banks are within our top 20 corporations by market capitalization, it is necessary to create a taxonomy that would work for them.

- Canadian Banking label linkbase

XBRL SEDAR Taxonomy - There is certain information listed in the profile of every company listed in SEDAR that does not have an equivalent element in the IFRS taxonomy. The SEDAR taxonomy attempts to fill this gap by providing certain information that would be useful for filers in Canada.
